چکیده

Abstract Combustion of fossil fuel produces emissions and is one the major environmental problems leading to climate change. Diesel engines are highly efficient but produce particulate emissions. These considered dangerous human health because inhaling particulates may cause respiratory heart disease. Substituting diesel with renewable using filters possibility meet stringent legislative requirements. With this motivation, present experimental investigation aimed evaluate particle size distribution (PSD), optical properties matter (PM) emitted, outcome an after-treatment system comprising a filter (DPF). This make comparative analysis emission upstream downstream DPF without ultraviolet (UV) light (405 nm 781 wavelength) turned on/off. Experiments were performed at (a) engine idle torque 6 Nm 750 rpm, IMEP 1.35 bar power 0.5 kW, (b) part load 32 1200 8.5 4.5 kW. was operated on two fuels EHR7. Results showed that as when UV on, distinct nucleation mode dominated number concentration for both test observed. Downstream had relatively higher AAE values which show contribution Present research important industries, industrial innovation's future, exhaust gas (EATS) community. The results contribute knowledge occupational exposure, health, environment.

Investigation ofthe Effects of Oxygenate and Nitrate Component Additives on Physico-Chemical Properties and Exhaust Emission of Diesel Fuel

This study evaluates the effect of additives on diesel and of additive-ethanol-diesel fuel blends on the density, viscosity, cetane number, flash point, boiling point, distillationand performance in engine tests. An additive is used to keep the blends homogenous and stable, and an ignition improver, which can enhance cetane number in ethanol-diesel fuel blends. The formulations were carried out ...
